2016 Year-end Message from the Executive Director
To all of you who have supported NCEFT during the past 45 years, I want to thank you for trusting us to make a difference. For those of you who are just now becoming a part of the NCEFT family, I invite each of you to come for a visit, see the work our therapists and barn staff are doing and experience for yourselves how NCEFT brings about transformation.
I’ve had the opportunity to be part of this amazing organization for 10 years now, and I can say without hesitation, it’s the most rewarding position I’ve ever held.
What’s different at NCEFT?
Commitment. At NCEFT there is a commitment each of our staff, volunteers and patient families bring with them each day. It’s the commitment to a family member in need of physical and emotional support. It’s the commitment by a member of the barn staff taking time to make certain our therapy horses are the best they can be, and it’s the commitment a therapist makes by developing a therapy strategy that is fine-tuned for just one individual. It’s also the countless hours given by our volunteers in every therapy session that we deliver, and it’s the support we receive from you every day, every year and for the past 45 years.
Why commitment?
We know there are many organizations that deserve your support. Knowing you believe in us and rely on us to be the best we can be keeps us going year after year. Your confidence in us nurtures our commitment.
On any given day, someone will walk up to me and thank me for the work we do. It’s a daily reminder of how fortunate I am to be part of NCEFT. We, as an organization, deeply value being able to do what we do with support from people like you.
From all of us at NCEFT, thank you. We wish you happy holidays and a peaceful new year.
