Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Clinician (Spanish speaking)
Reports to: Director of Resilience & Mental Health
Employment Status: Part-time
Compensation: $42.00-$65.00 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Summary:
The National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy is looking for an exceptional Spanish speaking mental health clinician who is licensed in the state of California. Basic responsibilities include providing mental health and resilience services and workshops for diverse populations (both individuals and groups) incorporating an equine experience as well as use of a variety of modalities.
Examples of target populations include first responders, veterans, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as those impacted by grief and loss and chronic illness. This clinician will help facilitate programs, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct services as well as evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
The position requires excellent communication and therapeutic skills as well as the ability to work with a team. Occasional weekend and evening work is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds from the ground to waist height to assist clients and lift occasional items, such as saddles, ground poles, feed buckets, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
- Equine experience strongly preferred
- California license required
- LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologists are invited to apply
- Bilingual (Spanish-English speaking) is required
