Happy Trails Camp is a week-long, summer day camp filled with opportunities to explore, engage with, and enjoy the world of horses and the great outdoors. We welcome current clients participating in our Adaptive Riding or Hippotherapy programs and their siblings, ages 6 and up.

This fun-filled week gives campers the opportunity to learn about and interact with our equine partners alongside their peers through a variety of activities. Campers can look forward to lots of hands-on horsemanship activities, games, arts and crafts, and more!

In addition to regular NCEFT staff, there will be a wonderful team of young adult counselors and adult volunteers present to ensure that campers have plenty of individualized support and camaraderie, making this a truly memorable week of fun and learning!

Program Details:

  • Cost is $800 per client / $750 per sibling. Financial Assistance is available for NCEFT clients who currently receive aid.
  • In an effort to provide the best camp experience for all of our campers, the number of spaces is limited, and each participant’s application must be approved by the client’s therapist or riding instructor.
  • NCEFT staff will coordinate with parents and/or caregivers prior to camp to determine specific supports for each camper. NCEFT staff and volunteers are not able to assist with toileting. Families may be required to provide a 1:1 aide if the camper.

NCEFT: HORSES. HOPE. HEALING.

Horses. Hope. Healing. Three simple words that, when combined, have the power to transform lives. NCEFT is centered around helping people. We are about compassion, inclusiveness, and offering the highest level of service to those in need. We do this by harnessing the unique connection between horses and humans. NCEFT is also about community. Many of our clients and families describe NCEFT as a place that feels like home with people who feel like family.
