Trailblazers Resilience/Emotions Summer Camp

This week-long summer program is for middle school students and will focus on resilience, wellness, and horsemanship. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with horses and each other in a safe and relaxing environment. They will learn the basics of horsemanship, build social skills and resilience tools all while having fun! Other activities include nature walks, gardening, games, and arts & crafts.
Sessions are facilitated by licensed therapists, horse handlers, and volunteers. Special guests include horsemanship leaders, NCEFT’s Barn Manager, and outdoor specialists. No horse experience is required.
Program Details:
- This summer experience is appropriate for individuals entering or in middle school (ages 11-14).
- Group will be limited to 8-10 participants.
- A member of NCEFT’s Mental Health & Resilience team will schedule a brief initial evaluation with each applicant to determine eligibility.
