“Dancer”
by Peter Van Vlasselaer
An artwork typically originates from choosing the medium, in this case cloth on wood and the use of acrylic and latex paints. The delicate, subtle color scheme unfolds, while abrasive techniques are used in the process, creating the contrast with grinding lines and deep grooves.
“Dancer” is a multi-layer result of adding and removing paint, imitating flowing dance moves as if swaying back and forth, in motion between softness and sharp definition.
Coming across the below quote about dancing …
The connection to NCEFT seems evident. Let’s “DANCE”!
“Dancing is fun and can be a great way to celebrate, but evidence also suggests it can be a powerful tool for boosting mental health and well-being. Researchers have found that dancing can improve mood, combat depression, boost brain function, foster happiness, and even improve relationships.” (Very Well Mind / Barbara Field) – https://www.verywellmind.com/
