Steps Resilience Workshop for Middle Schoolers
10-week workshop series beginning Monday, April 6, 2026: 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

The focus of this workshop is on leadership: building confidence, communication, and teamwork with horses and our peers. Horse activities such as grooming, haltering, leading, obstacle courses, and other ranch based skills and games will be introduced to develop our leadership skills in a fun, relaxed environment. Activities such as journaling, group discussion, and art will also be incorporated. One of our final meetings will be a mounted mindfulness session where all participants will have the opportunity to ride. No prior horse experience is required. Click here to learn more.

Activities will include the basics of horsemanship and horse care, arts and crafts, games, nature walks, gardening, discussion, and team-building with peers. NCEFT: HORSES. HOPE. HEALING.

Horses. Hope. Healing. Three simple words that, when combined, have the power to transform lives. NCEFT is centered around helping people. We are about compassion, inclusiveness, and offering the highest level of service to those in need. We do this by harnessing the unique connection between horses and humans. NCEFT is also about community. Many of our clients and families describe NCEFT as a place that feels like home with people who feel like family.
