Education & Resources
Hippotherapy (the treatment strategy utilizing equine movement) is an evidence-based approach which has been proven to produce measurable, functional therapeutic results. Hippotherapy is approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Best practice dictates that PT, OT, and SLP professionals integrate the hippotherapy strategy into a patient’s plan of care, along with other therapy tools and/or strategies.
